About The Reservation

Mohawk, Cheyenne, Cherokee, Apache...those are just a few names of our neighborhood streets that led to our nickname, the Reservation.

Developed in the early 60s, the Reservation is located in a beautiful area of Northwest Richardson. Many residents refer to the Reservation as a hidden forest, as the streets are lined with majestic sycamore, oak, pecan and magnolia trees. Cottonwood Creek runs through the east side of our community and winds through Mimosa Park, our neighborhood park which includes soccer and baseball fields, a playground, a tennis court and a picnic area.

The Reservation includes a diverse mix of senior citizens, many of whom have lived here for over forty years,as well as famalies with children of all ages. Over the last few years the neighborhood has seen a renewal of young families, some of whom grew up in, or near the Reservation. They enjoy being close to all that Dallas has to offer, yet they are able to maintain the "hometown" feel we all value so highly. Plus, the Reservation is proud to have Mohawk Elementary and J.J. Pearce High School, both award-winning exemplary schools, in the neighborhood.
